A day where you can choose to stay under your duvet, all day..

We pride ourselves on the great company culture we have created since inception phase at 2i. Finding a suitable balance between work and daily living is a challenge that all workers face so it is important to us that you are able to maintain a perfect equilibrium between your work life and your personal life when you are here.

Global figures show that a team of happier staff equates to a higher performing workforce. This is part of the reason why we want our employees to be content in their role, happy within their working environment and feel that there is flexibility to take the time to look after themselves outside of the work place as well.

By becoming part of 2i you become part of the family and your well-being is of great importance to us. The above reasons are why we have decided to implement this fantastic new Duvet Day policy for our permanent staff. We want to show our appreciation for all their hard work and show that they are not just employees but are people with individual needs.

Of course there are a few considerations before taking a duvet day. Our deadlines and our clients are imperative to the successful running of 2i so:

  1. It is very important that your duvet day does NOT impact any timescales and priorities especially on client site!

  2. The days can be taken at very short notice but you must call the 2i office by 9.15am on the day you wish to take off to advise HR

  3. They cannot be taken on a Monday or Friday. (The aim of having duvet days are for conquering the mid-week slump)

  4. The days cannot be carried forward into the next year

  5. This benefit is effective after your probationary period

  6. This is a non-contractual benefit and can be removed at the director’s discretion

We implemented the Duvet Day policy nearly a month ago… someone is yet to call in to take the first Duvet Day in 2i history. Our employees are obviously either super content or just storing them up for a rainy day.
