Charity

Each year we select two charities to support, and get involved in other fundraising and volunteering activities. 2i's chosen charities for 2022 are SAMH and Shelter, please follow the links below to find out more and/or make a donation.

We also set a fund aside to support the chosen charities of our individual colleagues and their charitable activities. And whenever the opportunity arises, we'll do our best to support worthy causes and/or projects that are aligned to our business.

Christmas is not cancelled for Glasgow’s Homeless

When 2i Testing postponed its Christmas Party to protect employees, the team did not want to waste the food, and so chose instead to give away the 70 meals to a homeless charity.

Helping The Edinburgh Remakery

The Edinburgh Remakery is an award-winning environmental social enterprise committed to diverting waste from landfill, building a stronger community, and promoting a culture of repair and reuse. They repair, refurbish and recycle what others send to landfill, and then pass these repair skills onto others within the Edinburgh community through education. 2i donates IT equipment and has donated voluntary engineering hours.

Volunteering

New in 2022, we are offering all our colleagues the opportunity to spend one (work) day volunteering. This can be for our chosen charities, or for charities that they are passionate about. This is a brand new venture, and we're keen to discover how it works out and what other opportunities will arise. We do know that doing good does you good. It gives a real boost to mental health and well-being. And what's good for Team2i is good for 2i!
