When 2i Testing postponed its Christmas Party to protect employees, the team did not want to waste the food, and so chose instead to give away the 70 meals to a homeless charity.
It took quite some organisation and searching, but with help of Prep to Plate, 2i found the Kindness Homeless Street Team who were prepared accept and distribute the meals to Glasgow’s homeless and families in financial hardship.
The party had been booked at The Corinthian Club, Glasgow, and was due to take place on the 10 December 2021. The prestigious venue continued to prepare the meals as planned for the cancelled party. Food containers were provided to the Club, they were filled, collected and distributed during the evening by the Kindness Homeless Street Team.
"I’m so proud of our team who made this happen. When we decided just over a week ago that we weren’t going through with our party this year, there was huge disappointment throughout the company but hopefully this will be offset by the positive impact this will have on Glasgow’s homeless community. It’s been a huge effort to organise this but I’m delighted that the team have pulled it off."
