2023 Round-Up

We started the year with the graduation of our first cohort from the Codespace Software Bootcamp, an initiative we set up with Sam Blyth at Edinburgh College to simplify entry into the tech industry. Several of our graduates have already joined us as engineers.

We formed a significant partnership with Amicis and achieved our Cyber Essentials Plus Certification, underscoring our commitment to cybersecurity and collaborative growth in the tech sector.

Demonstrating our community spirit, our #Team2i participated in the London Business Fives event to raise funds for Parkinson’s UK, showcasing our dedication to teamwork and charitable causes.

We were proud to become Great Place To Work certified. A testament to our commitment to creating an exceptional work environment where our team members feel valued, respected, and engaged, reflecting our dedication to fostering a positive and inclusive company culture.

This month was eventful as we attended the National Software Testing Conference and celebrated our AssureTDG winning the Data Trailblazer Award at the Digital Technology Awards, highlighting our expertise in software testing and data management.

We hosted the Scottish Testing Group Conference in Edinburgh with keynote speaker Janet Gregory. We were also recognised as one of the top companies to work for in the UK by Great Place To Work, and in partnership with Codespace we won the Partnership award at the Herald Higher Education Awards.

Our commitment to diversity was underscored by signing the Tech Talent Charter aligning us with like-minded organisations focused on improving diversity and inclusion in technology roles. We were also honoured to be ranked as one of the Best Workplaces for Women in the UK, showcasing our dedication to inclusivity in the tech industry.

We underwent a comprehensive rebranding, introducing new, vibrant colours, an updated logo, and a fresh strapline. This rebranding wasn't just a change in our visual identity; it represented a renewed commitment to innovation, excellence, and the evolving vision of our company in the tech industry.

Adam Pettman, our Head of Engineering, delivered an insightful presentation at Scotsoft, Scotland's largest tech conference, demonstrating our commitment to technological innovation, and our CodeSpace initiative was featured in the news, highlighting our growing influence in the tech community.

Our annual Connect event brought our team together for team building and inspiration from Olympian Susannah Townsend at Strathclyde University in Glasgow. We also launched our new website and co-sponsored the Digital Transformation Summit 2023, where our Head of QAT, Anna MacMillan, was a breakout speaker.

We officially opened our fabulous new office in the heart of Edinburgh's George Street! We won the SME Employer of the Year at the Scottish Women In Tech awards, and our Head of QAT, Anna McMillan, was named Leader of the Year at the European Software Testing Awards.

December at 2i was a vibrant mix of cultural celebration and team spirit. Our office came alive with the successful Diwali Celebration, reflecting our commitment to diversity and inclusion. Alongside this, we took on the 'Walking to Lapland' challenge, a team-building activity that strengthened our unity and wellness.
